Mehmetçik 2nd International Altın Salkım Documentary Film Festival, The Specification of Documentary Film Competition
The competition is organized in two categories as professional and amateur.The competitors point out in which category they compete in the application form.Students works are evaluated in the amateur category.The conditions of the competition are the same for both of the categories.
The conditions of Competition Productions can compete which has speciality of documentaries and must be produced last five years (2004-2008) in the competition. Productions can compete with the name of director and the application has to be made by the director.If the directing of a film are made by more than one person, the applicant has to receive written permission of others and add them to the application form. In this case, the prize is given to the applicant.The committee of the festival is not responsible about the problems for sharing the prize. Productions have to be sent to the competition as number of two with the format of VCD or DVD.The name of the production, time, the name and surname of the director have to be written on the VCD or DVD. Productions must not be more than 30 mins which will be competed. The copy of the productions are kept in the archieve of the festival.All the rights of displaying are belonged to the committee of festival without commercial aims.If the films are requested to broadcast by variety of Tv channels, the committee of festival will contribute to build a relationship between producer-director and Tv channel. The productions are evaluated by selective board which will be organized for each single category but the committee of the festivals have right to eliminate before the evaluation of selective board. Seven prizes will be given in the competition as total in both of the categories.If the selective board wishes, it will be able to give special prices in the both of the categories with explaining the requirement or will not give one or a few of the prizes also with explaining the reason.The amount of prizes are like below.
In the festival, additional prizes may be given by variety of foundations and individuals whose applications are confirmed by the committee of the festival.Chosing of the films are made by the individuals or foundations for these additional prizes and a written declaretion have to be given to the management of festival with its requirement.Also the chosing are demanded to made by Selective Board.The application form are provided from the Secretary of Festival and www.belgeselfilm.com web site. The last application date is to compete in the competition is 25TH of July 2008 until end of the working hour.
The competitors have to deliver the documents which are below to secretary of Festival in Turkey or Cyprus; the application form, two copies of production in the VCD or DVD format, at least one photo from the movie black white or colour, a photo of the director which shoud be suitable for a document, autobiography of the director (in Turkish and English), The short summarize of the movie (in Turkish and English max. 100 words)
